Food & Sleep – Dr Satchin Panda

Dr. Satchin Panda recently presented on the idea of using our schedules as a cure in helping us fight many diseases, just as in the past, sanitation and vaccinations were implemented in fighting what seemed to be uncurable diseases. In his presentation, he talks specifically about the timing of our food intake during the day, and how as the world is evolving, our schedules our getting more and more detrimental to our health. The summary of what he suggests for us to do is to not eat an hour after we wake up, or 2-3 hours before we go to sleep, and allow ourselves to eat within an 8-12 hour window during the day. The results are astounding as the research is showing that just the timing of when we eat our food can have a significant effect on our weight management and overall health.
