What’s VO₂ Max, Anyway?
VO2 Max is the most oxygen that your body can consume at its highest intensity. Our CardioCoach measures your metabolic status and performance at 4 exercise levels to determine how many calories your body is burning at each intensity level and uses your heart rate as a benchmark to figure out which workout zone is right for you!
In other words, it will indicate what zone is right for you based on your goals—whether your goals are to burn fat, improve endurance, boost metabolism, or take your fitness performance to the next level.
We partnered with fitness expert and behavioral coach, Kirsty Dunne. Kirsty has an extensive background in the health and fitness industry, coaching a diverse range of fitness levels from beginners to athletes. Kirsty is all about using real science to create real solutions with measurability as the key to a highly effective workout.

- Effective workouts: A VO2 max test clarifies the precise target heart rate that allows you to exercise more effectively, with less fatigue and fewer injuries.
- Valuable information for weight loss: The test determines the number of calories burned during every level of exercise. This information is very helpful when designing a workout intended to burn fat.
- Increase endurance: You can use your VO2 max test results to make improvements in your performance. This is accomplished by pushing to increase your anaerobic threshold (AT) and maintain that threshold for increasingly longer periods of time. This enhances both endurance and cardiovascular performance.
